Question:
Is otoplasty the right procedure to fix a pixie ear? Only one of my ears is effected so would the surgery be performed on just the effected ear or both?
Answer:
This is a difficult question without seeing you specifically but most likely you could operate on the problem ear and try and make it as close as possible to matching the good ear. The process with ears is to give you two very nice matching ears that would look perfectly normal to anyone looking at them. If you already have one very good ear, we would go ahead and work on the pixie ear and match it to the good ear.
