DR. EPSTEIN: Hi! I am Dr. Epstein. I am with my patient who is now six days status post rhinoplasty. I have her before pictures and you can see she had concern about her bump and how the tip dropped down when she smiled. You can see the profile view there and lastly she also had a crookedness to the nose.
She is just about to see her nose for the first time. This is always my favorite part. I just took off her splint. And there she is.
PATIENT: Oh! My gosh!
DR. EPSTEIN: What I was able to do and she is still quite swollen here in the tip but I was able to rotate it up. You cannot fully appreciate it because there is a lot of swelling there but basically I was able to take down the bump, I reset the bones, did a lot of sculpting of the cartilage and as I said at six days out you can see she is happy.
This is what she looked like before with the bump and you can now see the after view and it is also straight. She did very well.
PATIENT: Oh my gosh! It is like terrific.
DR. EPSTEIN: I am so glad you are happy. I did computer imaging on her which I find really is helpful because it lets her see what I anticipate I will be able to do for her.
She is going to wear the brown tape on her nose for the next couple of days and then the tape will come off. As I said, the splint just came off today. The tape will come off in two days and she will continue to look better and better.
Thank you. This is Dr. Epstein.
